Revision as of 07:02, 8 February 2006 by Hairmetal4ever (talk | contribs) (added more info)(diff) ← Previous revision | Latest revision (diff) | Newer revision → (diff)"Looter Guy" is the name applied to a series of "Photoshopped" renditions of a photograph taken during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, and to the man shown in the photograph. The original photograph showed an African-American man, approximately 25-35 years of age, wading through floodwaters, pushing a bucketfull of Heineken beer bottles (floating on the water) that were presumably looted from a nearby flooded store. The picture has circulated around the internet and the Looter Guy, as he has come to be called, has been added to different well-known scenes humorously, such as movie DVD covers, posters, and famous photographs.
While called racially offensive by certain groups, the intent of the photos has been strictly humor-based.
