The Amazing Race 18 is the eighteenth installment of the reality television show The Amazing Race. The Amazing Race 18 will feature several teams of two, each with a pre-existing relationship, in a race around the world with $1 million for the winning team. The Amazing Race 18 will be the first season of the United States series that will be broadcast in high-definition television. While most other prime-time television shows have transitioned to high definition, including other reality television shows, previous seasons of The Amazing Race have used standard-definition television due to the cost and fragility of high-definition recording equipment.
