Misconceptions

(Note: this is a response to my post on Misplaced Pages:Requests_for_comment/Dabljuh.)

Actually, that's sort of a misconception. Before I started editing the article, I wanted to discuss issues on the talk page. As I said, I was kind of angry. Anyhow, instead of "them" being cooperative, I was basically gang-banged by 4 guys and told to fuck off. Its not like the "other" side has displayed me any respect or readiness to cooperate, and certainly not to address the issues I was pointing out. Dabljuh 16:55, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Go back and look at the first things you wrote in the Talk:Circumcision page. As an outside observer, I see a clear lack of constructiveness on your part. You're openly mocking a viewpoint that, while you disagree with it, is a majority viewpoint. You aren't suggesting changes at all, not until many posts later. For the most part, you're just fighting. If you were just WP:BOLD and changed the article, and left an edit summary explaining that you were trying to draw attention to the idea that infant circumcision is not universally accepted, then (1) other editors would feel like you were trying to work with them, (2) your point would have been made much more clearly, and probably accepted, and (3) if fighting still happened later, at least you could say the whole point of your behavior was to improve the article. Mangojuice 19:03, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
Unfortunately you do not seem to realize or know that "pro infant circ" is by no means a majority view. In fact, no national or international medical organization recommends it, some even condemn it. Medically, "pro infant circ" is very much a fringe view nowadays. Successively, I have been "bold" and changed the article, only to see how every single one of my edits was almost immediately reverted by the clique there. Eventually I have forked so I could rehaul the article without the constant sabotage. I have made several peace offerings and suggested methods of how to change the article, all were rejected. A majority view isn't a majority view just because a fringe view POV pushing clique controls an article. Dabljuh 22:29, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
Not debating anymore. I don't care about the merits of your arguments, only your behavior. Mangojuice 22:52, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Crypto

Hi, welcome to the WikiProject; hope to bump into you editing crypto pages! — Matt Crypto 23:25, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Speedy deletes

Hi Mangojuice, I do see that you are a new user, so let me say welcome first off! :-D Secondly about your question "Do the speedy-delete nominees remain up somewhere even if someone takes down the tag?" I don't think that speedy delete tags stay up after they have been removed. I found the article after going through the contribs of the editor, who had created an other article on a non-notable, high school teacher. That is how I found the article and deleted it! Thanks for the message. If you ever need any help or have any questions let me know, and I'll try my best to assist you! KnowledgeOfSelf | talk 05:08, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

April 1st Revert

Sorry about the mistake that I made with changing the word 'this' to 'last' in the april fools article. Cheers and thanks for fixing it up. Duffarama 02:13, 26 January 2006 (AEST)

Its how you know you're doing something right...

...when you get your first anon vandalism. I suspect it was the Ihatejoe reversion from YTMND that attracted him/her/it. :) --Syrthiss 19:45, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Hash functions based on block ciphers

You wanted me to tell you when the merge is done, and now it is done, sort of. New article is Hash functions based on block ciphers. So go ahead, start adding the stuff you wanted to add! I am looking forward to see your stuff. Oh, and if you need graphs to whatever you add just tell me what I need to know (formula or pointer to web pages with info etc) and I will make the graphs in the same style as the others. There is some more information in the old Davies-Meyer article about an attack that I did not merge since I did not understand it. If I just cut and paste that paragraph it will make even less sense since it depends on the notification established further up in the old article and I have changed that notification in the merged article. So for now I left the old Davies-Meyer article as it is (not turned it into a redirect). I left a note about it and link to it in the Davies-Meyer section of the new article. I hope some one can make sense to it and rewrite it properly and merge it some day. --David Göthberg 06:18, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the speedy AFD on Jared Bowerman

Thanks for the speedy AFD on Jared Bowerman. I put the speedy tag on twice, but the guy removed them, so I posted on his page. After I took a bite to eat, I saw you put it back on! Thanks for helping out. —Last Avenue (talk) (contribs) 04:20, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

First entry

I completed the Inhaca article. You're welcome to post me any notes that would help me improve future contributions. JMK 22:00, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

Article expanded

Your changes made a lot of sense. I corrected some mistakes and expanded it, so maybe you can just look over it again. This time I did refer to text in several articles. JMK 18:25, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
