Please note: Nothing here is ever lost and mistakes can be made. I've made more than my share. If I deleted a page of yours, please feel free to question the deletion. Odds are real good I'll put it back if it isn't nonsense or vandalism. Just be nice. Thanks.

Thanks. I panicked when I realized I put that in the Article name space. (Digitaldman (talk) 19:54, 2 December 2010 (UTC))

Deletion of Haroon ur Rasheed / reverted Model Town Humak page
There was no Misplaced Pages article on a famous Pakistani columnist Haroon ur Rasheed, so I thought to take this initiative and created a page for him. But you deleted that page within few minutes. Yes, it was just created and at that time 'article had no meaningful, substantive content', but you did not let others to contribute!
Dear PMDrive1061, you also reverted my edits in Model Town Humak. Now, I am very curious about your explanation. I am native of this town, yet you reverted my edits. You have even reverted a spelling correction of word 'gazette' by me, it was spelled 'gazzette'. Please explain.
I would appreciate if you could reconsider your actions in aforementioned regard.
deletion of draft page on SERPINA14
`I thought I had created a subpage and could work on it to my hearts content without fear of deletion Ufpete (talk) 14:14, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
- You hadn't. You created a page in the main article namespace. Uncle G (talk) 02:24, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
- And that "no content" article is now a quite a nice article at Uterine serpin.
- This is your gentle reminder that CSD for "no context" and "no content" isn't appropriate if the "empty" article was created only moments ago, per the CSD policy. Some people like to save the page name before adding substantial content, and we don't want valuable new editors scared off by edit conflicts and unnecessary deletion warnings. Short article
Hi, thanks for the feedback. These are popular classical songs from the subcontinent. I'll look for a stub tag. Cheers!Randhir 19:31, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
- Dude, most of the things Indian are not well documented. Its all there in the culture and that's a big problem we face here. A quick look at the number of times its watched on youtube, gives you a fair idea. But with time, the two-line article develops into a substantial one and its been my experience. Cheers! - Thanks bro Randhir 19:51, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Actually, that doesn't appear to have been vandalism. Badly written yes, but maybe not vandalism. HalfShadow 00:33, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi PMDrive1061, I was just getting started with the page, I can see why you would think it was promotional, but the Centre is part of the Madawaska Arts' Council(registered charitable status) and it oversees the museum. I think it warrents documentation, from my vantage anyway. Regardless, thanks for keeping wiki clean, I am sure it would be a real mess otherwise. MelodyMedley (talk) 13:50, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Books LLC
Greetings PMDrive 1061! Apologies for possible punctuations oddities in advance, but my German keyboard has suddenly decided to change itself into English format, and I can|t find the dratted apostrophe!
I just tried uploading a new article on a dubious publishing company called Books LLC of Memphis, and have been informed you yanked it down on the grounds of unambiguous copyright violation. This surprises me as I|d been writing it myself this afternoon.
What this company is doing is flooding Amazon and other book platforms with offers of fifteen dollar paperbacks composed entirely of content ripped off from Wiki. I thought it|d be a good idea to mention the fact.
- We already have User:Fences and windows/Unreliable sources#Misplaced Pages mirrors (and everything that that links to) and Project:Mirrors and forks/Abc#Books, LLC. The article namespace is for encyclopaedia articles, not for warnings. Uncle G (talk) 23:57, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for your comments, Uncle G. As it happens, I started by looking for information about a publishing company I'd never heard of. I wasn't looking for some kind of warning. It was a matter of wanting information. I came across one of those pages you mention, but learning that what might be that company is perhaps a mirror and fork isn't overly intelligible, unless you already know what that's supposed to mean. And as the article was rejected on the grounds of unambiguous copyright violation, it's difficult to see the immediate relevance. There's no copyright violation involved. I also didn't write a warning. If people want to pay somebody for Misplaced Pages content, minus the graphics, then that's their business.
Many thanks for your considerate reconsideration, PMDrive 1061!

Could you explain your rationale for deleting this article please? I didn't think it met the criteria for {{db-a7}}. The article said that she "had an album out". This was a claim that she met WP:MUSIC. Moreover, she does have a released album. I would have said that it was definitely a WP:PROD per WP:N, but not a WP:CSD#A7 candidate. I'd appreciate any comments you had to make. Hopefully it'll help me understand what is and what isn't. — Fly by Night (talk) 18:07, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

Methods To End It All
Hi. You recently deleted my Methods To End It All article on the grounds that it related to a band who do not have a wiki page. The band is called Creation's Tears and they have a WIKI page. Please advise. Good evening. What copyright infringement is taking place? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cleveland st (talk • contribs) 18:54, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for your note. I do not understand -- the text was completely rewritten and solely dealt with an introduction (date of construction and provenance). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cleveland st (talk • contribs) 19:43, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
New Article
I wrote an article for the school where I work and it was deleted. I'm not sure why. It is called Long Island Lutheran Day School at St. Paul's. What can I do to make it appropriate to post? Mrskilmer2nd (talk) 21:18, 5 December 2010 (UTC)Sue
- I believe I can answer that for you. That article fell afoul of several of our content policies. Your original version of it violated our policy on neutrality as it read like an advertisement for the school. Generally, primary or elementary schools are not considered sufficiently notable for their own Misplaced Pages articles, and no reliable, independent sources were provided. So, unless this is one exceptionally remarkable school that has been the subject of significant attention from multiple sources it is not going to be an appropriate subject for a Misplaced Pages article. Our core policies can be viewed here. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:38, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
Deletion of Random Hacks of Kindness
RHOK is a real event; please see . I'm curious what caused you to think it was a hoax? I don't know how to see the history of the page now that it has been deleted, so I don't know what it contained prior to deletion. Could you restore it please? Ka-Ping Yee (talk) 22:13, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
Also please verify the existence of this event via this summary which is clearly from a reliable source. Well, I guess it depends on what you think about the Moon landings. =) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.50.78.130 (talk) 00:08, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
- Looking at the deleted page, I could see how it would appear to be yet another hacker hoax as it seems unlikely all these organizations would really participate in such an event, but if it is a hoax they've taken in an awful lot of people, as a gnews search shows. I think the page should be unprotected and allowed to be recreated if properly sourced, maybe someone would care to make a properly sourced user subpage in order to demonstrate that it is possible to make a proper article on this subject? Beeblebrox (talk) 00:58, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
People, seriously. I admire your attention to detail... but here's photographic proof that we had the event. And that was at only ONE of the 21 venues. I mean, #RHoK was trending in (at least) two cities over the weekend. Check the Twitter activity in Toronto and worldwide.
Please just put the page back up - I'm (obviously) new to editing Misplaced Pages pages, but it says everywhere that deleted content is not lost, so we would prefer to not have to rewrite the Misplaced Pages page in a sandbox when we're expecting national attention as people roll into work tomorrow due to the many media outlets who may do a story on RHoK.
