This paraphilia involving enemas (introducing liquids into the rectum and colon via the anus).
The klismaphiliac gains satisfaction both by fantasizing about getting an enema, and by actually getting one, and can become erotically aroused by the eliminatory process. It is mostly men who become excited and get erections when administered enemas as youths, although women are also involved in this sexual behavior. The paraphilia may be used as a substitute by it's practitioners for genital intercourse. Usually the klismaphiliac carries out a normal life, and manages to engage in this behavior secretly. Klismaphiliacs may also try to get others to administer an enema under the false pretense of being constipated. If this is the case they will probably try to conceal the pleasure they receive from this administration.
The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR) classifies klismaphilia under the diagnosis of "Paraphilias, Not Otherwise Specified." The diagnostic code is 302.9.
