WELCOME!! Hello, Derek R Bullamore! I want to personally welcome you on behalf of the Misplaced Pages community. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you haven't already, you can put yourself in the new user log and the list of users so you can be properly introduced to everyone. Don't forget to be bold, and don't be afraid of hungry Wikipedians...there's a rule about not biting newcomers. Some other good links are the tutorial, how to edit a page, or if you're really stuck, see the help pages. Misplaced Pages is held up by Five Pillars...I recommend reading about them if you haven't already. Finally, it would be really helpful if you would sign your name on talk pages, so people can get back to you quickly. It's easy to do this by clicking the button (next to the one with the "W" crossed out) one from the end on the left. If that's confusing, or if you have any questions, feel free to drop me a ♪ at my talk page (by clicking the plus sign (+) next to the tab at the top that says "edit this page")...and again, welcome!--ViolinGirl 00:20, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
Leon Russell
Could you explain that ? I hope it was just a test. Mister Matt 18:25, 29 December 2005 (UTC)
Previewing edits
I would like to thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. — TheKMan 18:16, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
Kingmaker)
May I recommend creating the page at Kingmaker (band) instead of at Kingmaker)? Post questions or comments on my talk page. — TheKMan 18:55, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
Hi again. It looks like another user helped move the content over to the new page (with the "move" tab that's on top of each page). Just in case you haven't seen these yet, here are a few links I found very helpful when I was starting out in Misplaced Pages:
- The five pillars of Misplaced Pages
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
If you ever need any help, or ever have any questions, I'll be more than glad to help you out! Just be sure to post on my user talk page for a prompt response (most Wiki users perfer talk pages to emails). Happy editing! — TheKMan 00:08, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
Birth dates
Hi, please provide a source for the birth date you changed on Bobby Gillespie as this link says 1964. Thanks Arniep 20:05, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
Pete de Freitas
I was wondering why you changed Trinidad and Tobago to Trinidad in that article. Guettarda 01:42, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
Robbie Williams
Hi Derek: I would fix this myself but I don't know how to revert. Someone made a small text change and a very odd formatting change to the Robbie Williams page, and it should be reverted to your version.--Anchoress 17:29, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Russell Senior
Hi. I see that you've added a note that Russell was a flying picket in the miners' strike. Do you have a source on this as it's news to me. --Sachabrunel 15:44, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
Sneaky vandalism
Please note you are now being watched very, very closely for suspicious edits across Misplaced Pages. Sneaky vandalism will get you banned permanently. Hedley 23:22, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- Having read your e-mail, I apologise. You should note, however, that sneaky vandalism is a big problem on Misplaced Pages where vandals modify minor details without making a fuss. I was concerned after the volume of these minor modifications from you, especially with the birth dates, as they are generally accurate. Hedley 17:45, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
Ian McNabb Birthdate
Ian McNabb's birthdate was changed from 1962 to 1960. Can you explain your source for this one? While I think it's generally known that Ian "fudges" on his birth year, without a better source, it would be tough to argue against the 1962 date given on his web site, Martin Roach's The Right to Imagination & Madness and the AllMusic entry. Do you have a copy of his birth certificate or passport? Oswald Glinkmeyer 14:02, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
The Tams
I was surprised to see this come up on the list of new articles. Did we really not have an article on the Tams? Well thanks for setting that right! Flowerparty■ 02:56, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
- You seem to have copied some of the article from the All Music page. Please note that Misplaced Pages cannot accept copyrighted material such as this, so I've removed it. If you wish to add such material in future you need to rewrite it in your own words. Thanks. Flowerparty■ 03:07, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
