Prometheus is a forthcoming film by Ridley Scott. The project began as a prequel to Alien, written by Jon Spaihts, but after discussions with screenwriter Damon Lindelof, the project became an original film. Swedish actress Noomi Rapace will star as a scientist, who is one of the film's five main characters. Prometheus is set to be released on March 9, 2012.
