Angus Young (born March 31 1955 in Glasgow Scotland) is the founder and lead guitarist of the Australian hard rock band AC/DC. Young and his family moved to Australia where he and his brother Malcolm played in some rock bands before they founded AC/DC in 1974.

After a suggestion from his sister, Angus began wearing a school outfit on stage, which has become one of the trademarks of AC/DC.
