King Vulture FAR
Hi Jim - If you have a few minutes, would you mind taking a look at King Vulture, which is currently up for FAR? The review page is located at WP:Featured article review/King Vulture/archive1. We're having a hard time getting independent review for this, and I would love to get the opinion of another "bird guy" before we close this. If you know of any other bird-lovers that I could ping to take a look, please let me know, you were just the first that popped to mind! Thanks in advance, Dana boomer (talk) 14:46, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
Melanie Grice
The articale on Melanie Grice is a true author and if you would google her name you will see that there are more then eight pages of sites and there are more then 100 online stores with her book for sale. Do you mind to undelete her information or we can take these sources to others, thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.0.81.136 (talk) 20:09, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, you can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. I deleted your recent article because it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts or show that it meets the notability guidelines. It is now wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have references. Your article's only links were to her own website, or to sales outlets. If you have proper independent sources that show that she meets the Misplaced Pages notability guidelines, you should put them in the article.
- The article is basically advertising too — Melanie has books for sale that are hard back and soft cover. The books are located at Barns and Noble.com. Amazon.com, Books a Million.com, Authorhouse.com, and Dealoz.com. — is spam, not part of a biography. we can take these sources to others — you are of course free to take your "information" to any other website that will accept it. hi you have deleted a new page
Hi ,
i added a new page yesterday for an Education Institute in Himachal Pradesh India http://en.wikipedia.org/Himalayan_Group_of_Professional_Institutions
You have deleted the page and given the reason as spam.
I am sorry to say that it is just not like that. The page was still under construction and was being edited. So, please help me in improving it rather than deleting .
Thank You — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rajneeshrana88 (talk • contribs) 11:47, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Not An advertisement. A prominent artist whose work and life deserve to be known!
Hi, I was under the process of building two pages that seem to have been deleted. One was about an amazing artist by the name of LEN STECKLER and the other a page on one of his most recently publicized works, The Visit Series with Marilyn Monore and Carl Sandburg. I have no idea why these have been deleted! they were not in any way advertising! I am close friends with Len Steckler's son and together we were building these pages. Please do whatever needs to be done to correct this mistake or contact me with what you feel was not done correctly. It is very important to me that there be informational and educational pages on both The Visit Series as it was one of the last things Marilyn Monroe did and Len Steckler as his work has been helping to shape the art world for years. Thank you HannahVeraBanks (talk) 18:48, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Welcome to my talk page. Please note that real-life commitments mean that I will not be reading this page much for a couple of months, so messages may be unanswered.
If you still wish to add your comments, put them above this message and below everything else, and sign using four tildes (~~~~)
Thank you. Jimfbleak - talk to me, but don't wait for an answer!

Misplaced Pages Ambassador Program is looking for new Online Ambassadors
Hi! I noticed your activity reviewing Featured Article Candidates, and wanted to let you know about the Misplaced Pages Ambassador Program, and specifically the role of Online Ambassador. We're looking for friendly Wikipedians who are good at reviewing articles and giving feedback to serve as mentors for students who are assigned to write for Misplaced Pages in their classes.
If you're interested, I encourage you to take a look at the Online Ambassador guidelines; the "mentorship process" describes roughly what will be expected of mentors in the coming term. If that's something you want to do, please apply!
You can find instructions for applying at WP:ONLINE. The main things we're looking for in Online Ambassadors are friendliness, regular activity (since mentorship is a commitment that spans several months), and the ability to give detailed, substantive feedback on articles (both short new articles, and longer, more mature ones).
I hope to hear from you soon.--Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 01:00, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Fight Amp
The page Fight Amp was deleted by you recently, for failing to provide indication of importance. I've contacted Brutal Panda Records, who were kind enough to provide me with a wealth of links to veritable sources. Misplaced Pages custom dictates I inform you that I intend to resurrect this page. Does the page's former contents still exist anywhere on Misplaced Pages, or must it be started over completely? NVSBL (talk) 06:54, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
