2011 Syrian protests are expected to begin on February 4, 2011 as Ssocial media mobilises the people of Syria for rallies demanding freedom, human rights and the end to emergency law, scheduled for Friday and Saturday February4 and February 5 in front of the parliament in Damascus and at Syrian embassies internationally. The planned protests has been named 'Day of Rage'. President Bashar al-Assad has declared that his nation is immune from the kinds of mass protests taking place in Egypt.
