Peter Alexander Stringer (born 13 December 1977) is a rugby union player who plays at scrum half for Munster and Ireland.

In February 2000 he made his debut for Ireland against Scotland in the Six Nations Championship.

In February 2006 he scored a definitive try for Ireland against Wales in the Six Nations Championship, when they beat them 31-5.
