The GSM Association (GSMA) is an association of mobile operators and related companies devoted to supporting the standardizing, deployment and promotion of the GSM mobile telephone system.

It claims as members nearly 800 mobile operators and more than 200 related companies.

It traces its history back to the original EU GSM declaration of 1982, but was formally created as the "GSM MoU Association" in 1995.

Telecoms.com called it "one of the most powerful trade associations in the world, lobbying governments on everything from tax policy to pricing strategy".
