Thank you for participating in my RfA

I just wanted to take a moment to say "thank you" for taking the time and effort to participate in my recent RfA. As you may know, the discussion closed 66/0/1 and I'm now a holder of the mop. I will keep working to improve the encyclopedia and appreciate the trust which you have placed in me. - Dravecky (talk) 23:53, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Summary deletion -- Tag for deletion, or consider the state of the article? A quandary.

I'm a novice editor, and am engaged in some New Pages patrolling (checking for spam, meaningless pages, and other junk, or marking as patrolled pages which were created to build the encyclopedia), and I came across this:

22:20, November 19, 2008 ‎Summary deletion (hist) ‎ ‎Redashhope (Talk | contribs) (a line in the sand allowing us to cite cause and affect over shabby or hasty editing)

(scratches head) Well, this gets a bit recursive, I thought, so I looked at your talk page. "If you enjoy summary deletion or wholesale editing of my input, it will only take you a moment longer but why not let me know your motivation on my talk page? It may have taken me a lot longer to write it - and a second opinion is always welcome."

All right, I am not an expert Wikipedian, but I will give my opinion, because you requested it. This article is short, more the definition of a term than an article (possibly should be in Wiktionary rather than Misplaced Pages), has no citations, and even if it belonged in Misplaced Pages, it has some spelling and grammar errors.

I'm not going to tag it for deletion. I'm going to challenge you. Examine the article. If you believe it belongs in Misplaced Pages, improve it to the point where you would be proud of it. If you believe it does not belong in an encylopedia, tag it for speedy deletion. You seem to be intelligent and well-meaning, so I'll leave this page on my watchlist, and see what happens.

Meanwhile, I'll go back to learning more about Misplaced Pages, tagging some spam and junk articles for deletion, and developing my wiki skills to expand some articles I have my eye on.

Enjoy the holidays. --StaniStani  17:20, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

"I SEEM INTELLIGENT" Really? Or maybe nothing better to do.... This reply is posted here as I prefer visitors to see threads you have instigated on your talk page and not cluttering mine. Anyway Iam seriously considering taking my eldest son for his hair cutting tomorrow. Its not dire, life threatening, not even really worth noting or writing but, you know what Iam mean? Its just (forgive the grammar-its a public forum) that its getting to the point when it could become an issue with the hair police/college students/peer groups/parents (Iam one of those). I'll probably go the whole hog and get my own cut while Iam at it, maybe even blag some discount from the poor sOd who stands all day trimming other peoples heads. He carries out valuable work. Valuable....now that reminds me, what was your question again? Oh yes....you feel like having a dabble with your new found Wiki editing tools on a page I created? Well my suggestion is go forth and loose your Wiki virginity - do what you feel will change the world for the better. It won't change mine. Now onto the bigger theme....shall I have a crew cut or just a trim. Redashhope< 18:02, 20 December 2008 (CET)

thank you

My RFA passed today at 150/48/6. I wanted to thank you for weighing in, and I wanted to let you know I appreciated all of the comments, advice, criticism, and seriously took it all to heart this past week. I'll do my absolute best to not let any of you down with the incredible trust given me today. rootology (C)(T) 08:12, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Domain Auction Scam

Hi, did you get to the article Domain Auction Scam which I started but could write it properly?

Alok Sharma (talk) 07:01, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, I asked you for a clarification on word usage, and shortly thereafter, as the result of a discussion] the article was deleted because you had not shown the subject as notable. Have a look at the tips for writing articles at the top of your page.

Your NPWatcher application

Dear Stanistani,

Thank you for applying for NPWatcher! You've been approved to use it. Before you run the program, please check the changelog on the application page to see if there is a newer release (or just add the main page (here) to your watchlist). PS: As you are fairly new, you might want to read an essay on speedy deletion like WP:FIELD, WP:WIHS or WP:10CSD before you start tagging.

Thank you for your support

Unfortunately, my RFA was closed recently with a final tally of 75½/38/10. Though it didn't succeed, I wanted to thank you for your support and I hope I can count on it in the future. Even though it didn't pass, it had a nearly 2 to 1 ratio of support and I am quite encouraged by those results. I intend to review the support, oppose, and neutral !votes and see what I can do to address those concerns that were brought up and resubmit in a few months. If you would like to assist in my betterment and/or co-nominate me in the future, please let me know on my talk page. Special thanks go to Schmidt, , TomStar81, and henrik for their co-nominations and support. — BQZip01 —

I just wanted to let you know that I thought that the message you left on BoP's RfA was very kind - I'm hoping that BoP will notice that and be cheered by the sentiment expressed! It was definitely a Nice Thing To Do™. For this kindess, I award you The Sandwich of Exceptional Excellence (Potato Salad of Congenitality cluster, 1st. Thanks for your RfA Support

Stanistani- Thanks for your participation and support in my recent successful RfA. Your confidence and trust in me is much appreciated. As a new admin I will try hard to keep from wading in too deep over the tops of my waders, nor shall I let the Buffalo intimidate me.--Mike Cline (talk) 09:49, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

Recall Criteria (Copied from Herostratus's talk page)

I see you are in the category: Misplaced Pages administrators open to recall. What are your specific criteria for such a recall? If you have no specific criteria in mind, would these be agreeable to you? --StaniStani  00:22, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

re recall criteria.

Sure. Herostratus (talk) 03:03, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

I thought you should know

Hello. I thought you should know that your post was modified and changed without your consent here by User:Tarc. Caden 00:50, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know (and it is a sad thing for Tarc to do), but the wrangle over this article has reached a point where the author has melted down and was blocked. I took the article off my watchlist some time ago. For the benefit of any page lurkers, I don't believe that Bali ultimate is a Holocaust denier. His edits and attitude towards people who disagree with him need improvement, however. I am not in this fight. I disagreed with Bali ultimate, and reverted one edit of his that I felt violated policy. I supplied sources that could be mined for references. That's all. StaniStani  21:16, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2011-05-28/LaRouche movement

See Misplaced Pages:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2011-05-28/LaRouche movement#Discussion. I've added you as a participant, but you need to sign to indicate your agreement to mediate.   Will Beback  talk  19:49, 28 May 2011 (UTC)

You seem to be saying we have major disagreements on that intro, when just a short while ago we came up with a version we both liked. The present version we are apart by only one word. Why do you think this is a dispute that needs mediating? Take it to the talk page of the article. StaniStani  00:48, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
