It is the 8th game in the series with all items, features, mini games, boards, and playable charecters from the past, with Donkey Kong and Koopa Kid returning as playable charecters. It is the first game in the series for the Nintendo Revolution, along with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection support. New playable charecters are Bowser, R.O.B., and Diddy Kong. Bowser's colored Koopa Kids will take his place.
