"overround"
A tag has been placed on "overround", requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Misplaced Pages:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. deranged bulbasaur 11:05, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Oddsfutures
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Oddsfutures, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Misplaced Pages:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Eeekster (talk) 21:25, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Oddsfutures requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

Notability
Misplaced Pages is not a business listing directory (though Wikicompany is); it is selective about article subjects, and the criterion is called notability, which is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and anything based on press releases. The test is, have people independent of the subject thought it important enough to write substantial comment about? More detail at WP:CORP and the WP:FAQ/Organizations.

Proposed deletion of Oddsfutures
The article Oddsfutures has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Appears to fail WP:ORG -- gnews finds only two hits, an announcement of job openings and a two-paragraph mention in a longer piece in the same source. No RS on ghits beyond reproduction of the first item listed above.
While all contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nat Gertler (talk) 18:34, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
thanks am new here... i've put in some other links to independent news sources..

ok nate yes thanks... i am involved with the project. should i request a page or is there a method for requsting a third party "authority" to submit
- Marc there is information at WP:BFAQ#COMPANY on how to request a page. In this case, at the moment you do still have a page; what you really need is someone who is willing to replace what you have written with material derived from the sources (which is not something that I have time to do myself at the moment.) I'm not sure of the best way of scaring up that. --Nat Gertler (talk) 20:55, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
