The TS010 was Toyota's competitor in the Sportscar World Championship in 1991 and 1992. The car was built to meet new sportscar racing regulations imposed by the FIA from 1991. As with all cars built to these new rules the TS010 featured a purpose-built 3500cc naturally aspirated engine (similar to contemporary Formula 1 engines) and had weight limit of 750Kg (compared to 900Kg for cars built to the previous Group C regulations).
