Panitan is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Capiz, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 37,458 people in 7,073 households.

Resolution No. 43, Series of 1996 – Favorably endorsing to Hon. Gregorio Vigilar, Sec. of DPWH thru Congressman Mar A. Roxas the application of Engr. Escolastico D. Besa to the position of Assistant District Engineer, Capiz Engineering District, DPWH, Province of Capiz.
Resolution No. 44, Series of 1996 – Authorizing the Municipal Mayor to negotiate with the owners of Lot No. 151-1 located at Tabuc Sur, this municipality, relative to the acquisition of the same to be used as site for the construction of slaughterhouse.
Resolution No. 45, Series of 1996 – Realigning the amount of Php70,000.00 from the Capital Outlay equipment to land and land improvement in the Office of the Mayor for partial payment in the acquisition of Lot No. 151-A owned by the spouses Ronnie Demegillo and Roscela Demegillo to be utilized as site of the slaughterhouse project.
Resolution No. 46, Series of 1996 – Realigning the amount of Php40,000.00 from the traveling expenses of the Office of the Mayor to the maintenance of Motor Vehicles to defray the expenses for the repair of the municipal motor vehicle (Diesel Tamaraw FX) and dump truck.
Resolution No. 47, Series of 1996 – Allowing the Municipal Mayor to enter into a MOA with the Capiz Vendors Multi-Purpose Cooperative.
Resolution No. 48, Series of 1996 – Authorizing the Municipal Mayor to enter into a contract of sale with the spouses Ronnie D. Demegillo and Roscelo D. Demegillo relative to the purchase of Lot No. 151-A located at Brgy. Tanuc Sur, Panitan, Capiz containing an area of 711 square meter, more or less, to be used as site for the construction of slaughterhouse and to sign the Deed of Sale in behalf of the Municipality.
Resolution No. 49, Series of 1996 – Opposing the proposed increase of the water rates of the Panitan Water District from Php115.00 per 10 cubic meter to Php130.00 effective January 1, 1997.
Resolution No. 50, Series of 1996 – Creating the positions of Utility Worker I in the Office of the Mayor and one 91) position of Heavy Equipment Operator I, in the Office of Municipal Engineer, this Municipality.
Resolution No. 51, Series of 1996 – Favorably endorsing to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Region VI, Iloilo City, the sand and gravel concession of Mrs. Lydia D. Adricula situated at Brgy. Tabuc Sur, this municipality.
Resolution No. 52, Series of 1996 – Requsting the Regional Director, DA, Region VI, Iloilo City, to provide assistance (RODENTICIDE) to the Municipality of Panitan, Province of Capiz.
Resolution No. 53, Series of 1996 – Expressig profound gratitude to Congressman Manuel “Mar” A. Roxas for all his CDF projects extended to the Municipality of Panitan.
