Panda Express is a large "fast food" American restaurant chain serving Americanized Chinese cuisine. It operates mainly inside shopping malls, supermarkets, and strip plazas. The chain offers a wide variety of food such as Orange Flavored Chicken (the most popular and well known dish), Beef with Broccoli, and Mandarin Chicken. Most combo meals are served with fried rice, steamed rice, or chow mein.

Panda Express is headquartered in Rosemead, California. Panda Express is a fast-food equivalent of the more upscale Panda Inn, from which the franchise was derived. Panda Express has a number of restuarants in the UK, where they are known as Golden Panda.

The Panda Restaurant Group was founded by Andrew Cherng and Peggy Cherng, a Chinese immigrant from the Yangzhou region of Jiangsu province. He started with a single restaurant in 1972 in Pasadena, California. The first Panda Express opened in 1983, and the chain has steadily expanded across the United States since then. With 800 locations, it is now the largest Chinese fast food restaurant chain in the United States.
