The Bad Girls Club: New Orleans is the seventh season of the Oxygen reality television series The Bad Girls Club. Originally scheduled to air on July 11, 2011, the date was pushed back to August 1, 2011. Filming began in February 2011 in Kenner, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans. This is the second season to take place in a different location from Los Angeles, California; the first being season five, which was filmed in Miami, Florida.

Production

On February 16, 2011 it was reported that production was being done at former Hornets basketball coach Byron Scott house in Kenner, Louisiana for the then called, "Bad Girls Boot Camp". Interim Code Enforcement Director Tamithia Shaw said " understands the site will be used for four months but that pre-production work apparently has been going on for two or three weeks". She also said that the cast was not there. It initially caused an outrage from the neighbors. The house is located on 100 Chateau St. Michel Dr.

In March 2011, the cast modeled House of Lounge lingerie at New Orleans Fashion Week.

Controversy

On March 13, 2011, TMZ.com reported that production was banned from at least eight clubs due to the clubs "not wanting to be associated with the show's bad image". The cast were also not allowed to Pierre Thomas's Mardi Gras party at the The Metropolitan Night Club.

On April 12, 2011 cast member Tasha Malek went to an on-duty cop outside the Bad Girls house to make a formal complaint on fellow cast member Nastasia Townsend. Malek told the cop that Townsend was placing her personal belongings into a garbage bag while telling her "she needed to leave the house" which escalated into a physical fight as they wrestled to the floor. The two were issued summons by the police for disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct.

A Bad Girl knows what she wants and how to get it. She makes her own way, makes her own rules and she makes no apologies. A Bad Girl blazes her own trail and removes obstacles from her path. A Bad Girl fights and forces her way to the top with style and beauty. A Bad Girl believes in jumping first and looking later. People will love you. People will hate you. Others will secretly wish to be you. A Bad Girl is you.

— Bad Girls Club creed

Above is the Bad Girls Club creed which was introduced in the third season of the Bad Girls Club.

No television sets were included in the Bad Girls House in this or any of the previous seasons. The girls are also allowed to have frequent visitors to visit them. The girls in the house are there to co-exist with each other to accomplish specific goals and must tolerate situations in order to "make it" at the end of the season and they accomplish this by staying in the show without being removed or voluntarily leaving the show. Bullying and tag teaming are seen throughout the series of the Bad Girls Club. At the end of the show, some girls change their ways, looks at life in a different perspective, builds a back-bone, or becomes a role model which are the key results in the show. In each season, when a "bad girl" is removed or leaves on her own terms, a collage of memorable videos of that "bad girl" is played shortly after her leave. The memorable videos are a collage of situations that the "bad girl" was in or was most notable as.

House

On July 6, 2011, the house tour was released for public viewing. The host of the tour were Jeff Eyser, the production designer, and Alexis Karpf the set decorator. Upon entering the house, Eyser announced that the production group had given the house a more "darker" and "sexier" direction then the previous season. At the grand foyer, usually a place where the girls can interact with each other without communication, are pictures of the "bad girls" this season and were given a New Orleans twist to them, such as copper pipe. In the phone room, which was taking a jungle-like and a green house turn, was turned into an eco-friendly place where the girls can contact love ones' such as their family and/or personal relationships. In the main room of the house, the girls are welcomed to an in-door bar, a home computer, and a contemporary living room that are influenced by Mardi Gras, they also have an in-door hot tub.

Eyser also confessed that everything in the main room, such as the in-door bar, were all custom made. The walls in the main room and much more, are decorated with New Orleans artist Sarah Dunn's, vibrant and contemporary botanical paintings. The dining room, which is a small-blue room that has a large painting of New Orleans during the early 20th century, is an open room with no doors. The kitchen, which features a marble table, includes furniture from Ikea. Unlike previous seasons where all bedrooms were not similar, this season, Eyser and Karpf made it so that every bedroom had looked equivalent of each other. The make-up room, features early 20th century furniture. Karpf believed that the make-up room is, not only her favorite, but "has an industrial-feel to it". In the same room, the girls were given Voodoo dolls that resembles themselves. In the champagne room, the girls were given very dark furniture of a mixture of red and black pillows and sofas. In the middle of the room, the girls were given a stripper pole. In the back yard, the girls were given a pool table, moderate size pool, lounge chairs and a accompanied pond.
