Little Green Footballs is currently a conservative, pro-Israel, political weblog edited by a California graphic designer named Charles Johnson. Little Green Footballs mostly concerns Middle Eastern affairs and terrorism (with an emphasis on Palestinian terrorism), with occasional mention of bicycle sports and space news.

Johnson was a professional guitarist who accompanied top jazz artists like Al Jarreau both onstage and in the studio for many years. In the 1980s, he was one of the first computer programmers to code for the Atari.

Little Green Footballs evolved over the years. Originally, it was a blog on programming and web page design—Charles and his brother Michael have a successful web design business—with some humorous news items. After the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attacks, LGF became a became a warblog.

On Thursday, October 16, 2003, Little Green Footballs was subjected to a Denial of Service attack along with other sites on the Hosting Matters system for a few hours.

Although the blog has been called conservative, some say that Johnson was "a leftist until he got mugged by September 11." As he stated in the interview listed below:

Why do they hate us?...Now I think the question is a pointless one, not because we shouldn't self-examine, but because the answer lies within the Islamists, not within us -- and understanding them will not achieve anything, except to the extent it allows us to defeat them.

Charles Johnson coined the term "idiotarian."

Although Little Green Footballs has a very dedicated following, it has a tendency to attract comments by extreme, even genocidal Islamophobes, and has therefore often been accused of fascism and racism (see external links). This charge is disputed by the blog's loyal supporters.
