Edit summary
Why is it so seemingly difficult for you to consistently use an edit summary? It is simple courtesy to provide your fellow editors with a brief explanation of your edits. Please do so. Thank you. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 01:16, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
- I second that. One of your edits just tripped up anti vandalism software.
- I'll just go ahead and be blunt with you. Any time you don't provide an edit summary, there is a good chance that you waste the time of vandalism fighters. So please, come up with a plausible explanation of why you don't use one, or start using one. --I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 00:29, 22 September 2010 (UTC)

Glee covers
Hi there. I know you haven't really been listening to messages on your talk page, but here goes. When adding information that Glee will or has covered certain songs on the respective song, album, musical, or film page, please:
- use an edit summary, and
- cite a reliable source for verification.
It is great that you are adding this information to these pages, but please do both of these things, or you may risk your edits being reverted and/or mistaken for vandalism. If you require assistance, please notify me on my talk page. Thank you. Yvesnimmo (talk) 21:28, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Edit summaries
Hi there. When editing an article on Misplaced Pages there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. Yvesnimmo (talk) 23:20, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for your recent addition with a reference. However, it would be much appreciated if you started using edit summaries, as well. Yvesnimmo (talk) 23:20, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to The American President. Doing so violates Misplaced Pages's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. It appears you don't like to leave Edit Summary information when you edit. PLEASE DO THIS! It helps others understand what you have done (and reduces the chance of your edit being reverted by mistake). Also, don't make massive changes to an established article (like this one) before discussing it on the Talk page. Thank you. — UncleBubba 23:59, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

ANI concerning you
Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Mike Allen 05:13, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Hi AbsoluteGleek, we need your cooperation
Please do respond to the link above about 'ANI', which is where we discuss issues that we think require the attentions of Administrators. You really do need to start responding to comments on your talk page, as Misplaced Pages is a collaborative exercise with its own policies and guidelines, and editors who do not communicate with other editors and ignore our policies and guidelines almost always end up blocked from editing, something I presume you don't want. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 05:42, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Scream 4 a comedy horror film?
I hope you read and reply to this, because I really want to know how you think Scream 4 is a "comedy horror". Please answer. Thanks. Mike Allen 07:09, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
Excuse me, there was already a "comedy horror" link there. I assumed it was that; I never saw any of the "Scream" films. 6:36, 16 October 2010
- You're right, you weren't the first to add the "comedy-horror" cat. I apologize. Also, that wasn't the main reason you were blocked---you were blocked because you failed to use edit summaries after being asked multiple times to. Have you read the Template:Infobox film documentation and WP:MOSFILM? I would suggest that you read up on it before your block expires. Mike Allen 05:51, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
Blocked
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for Your statement at ANI was rather rude but an apparent commitment to add edit summaries, one which you shortly abandoned. This behaviour has to change if you are to continue editing. This is a short block, but if when you return you continue your old behaviour it will almost certainly be turned into an indefinite one.. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text{{unblock|Your reason here}}
, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Dougweller (talk) 07:11, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:
What else is there to do? There was a "comedy horror" link already on "Scream" before I touched it. I'll add edit summaries, just please UNBLOCK me!
Decline reason:
Following your promise, you made 21 edits without a summary - so you have got off lightly with only 31 hours. There's nothing in Misplaced Pages that needs editing so fast you cannot ever enter a summary, it's obviously a habit you cannot break - I suggest you change your editing preferences to check the box on "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" Ronhjones 00:50, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Rocky Horror performers
Hi there. Thank you for your additions. Could you please use Template:Cite album-notes to cite the performers from the CD? Make sure to fill out page numbers, publisher (record label), publisherid (on CD spine and/or in fine print in booklet), and format? Thanks! Yves (talk) 01:06, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- I have removed your additions to due to a request on the talk page. It's been almost twenty-four hours, and I know you have logged in, but you have not provided this reference. If you would like to re-add them, please source them. Thank you. Yves (talk) 23:28, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
The Help (2011 film)
This is an automated message from VWBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of The Help (2011 film), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://yomi.mobi/egate/The_Help.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) VWBot (talk) 01:26, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
- Ignore this, you correctly copied the text from the article on the novel! Thanks. --CutOffTies (talk) 01:29, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
- Is that a good thing? --AbsoluteGleek92
- Yes, I worked on the article on the novel and was bothered by all the text on the film. I believe another user told me they couldn't create the film article until it finished shooting or something like that. Anyway, thanks again for creating the film article and moving the text over there. The searchbot thing just brought up a wp:mirror. --CutOffTies (talk) 01:51, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of The Help (2011 film)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The Help (2011 film) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Misplaced Pages to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Misplaced Pages:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. About your userpage
Hi, you can't add non-free images to your userpage per WP:User page. Also, you weren't banned (you were blocked) for adding a category to the Scream 4 page, you were blocked for failing to use edit summaries and not participating in discussions regarding your disruptive editing. I'm glad to see you have followed our advice and stopped the disruption. If you have any questions regarding Misplaced Pages or film articles, let me know. :) Mike Allen 04:24, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
Your edits
Ok. A lot of you edits are fine, but the problem with this edit is: the {{FilmUS}} and {{Film Canada}} are now used in the infobox, we don't link common terms such as horror film, don't remove nbsp; from dates, and lastly don't italicize websites like E! and IGN. Thanks. Mike Allen 21:06, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Never Say Never JB.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Never Say Never JB.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 03:57, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

Removal of True Grit from Article Feedback Additional Articles
Hi! I noticed that in edit you removed the Article Feedback Tool from the page True Grit (2010 film). Please do not remove this category from pages; the testing of the tool and the data obtained is of importance. Interruption of the tool's presence on the page introduces problems in usage and rating pattern detection.
If you have any questions about the Tool or its usage, feel free to ask me.--Jorm (WMF) (talk) 05:16, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

Congratulations on receiving the Dr. Heiter Award!
Hi there, thank you for your contributions to The Human Centipede (First Sequence). When the article was first started in October 2009 is was but a tiny stub that was immediately tagged for deletion, but thanks to the efforts of wikipedia editors that tiny acorn has grown into a great oak tree of an article. The Human Centipede (First Sequence) now has B-Class status and on the 17th June 2010 the article received its 1,000,000th page view!
The Dr. Heiter Award was created to reward editors who have made positive contributions to the article. It can be presented by any wikipedia user to anyone who has helped the article grow. This might be by adding new content, fixing any errors or reverting vandalism.
Thanks! Coolug (talk) 14:23, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Copyright problem: Jayson Blair (actor)
Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Jayson Blair (actor), but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to contain material copied from http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2172460/bio, and therefore to constitute a violation of Misplaced Pages's copyright policies. If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Misplaced Pages, then you should do one of the following:

Failure to communicate over copyvio issues
Despite the warnings you have been given for copyright violations you haven't said anything that would lead anyone to believe that you understand the problem. I've also had a complaint about your edit summaries - it's good that you are making them, but they are too vague to be useful in understanding what you've done, and 'cleaned the page' seems to mean more than just correcting a few typos. It isn't that they aren't good edits, it's that they aren't explained well. You really need to try harder at communication, and you certainly need to provide some evidence here that you understand our policy on vopyvio, both of text and images. Dougweller (talk) 13:07, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
- As you have continued to violate copyright, a contributor copyright investigation has been opened regarding your edits; see Misplaced Pages:Contributor copyright investigations/AbsoluteGleek92. MER-C 02:55, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
Film budgets
Hi. Good work on cleaning film pages and infoboxes. The only thing I would like to bring up is to check and see if the budget figure in the infoboxs are sourced (not with IMDb). Usually Box Office Mojo referenced under the gross will give a budget, so you can use that. If no source can be found, remove it. For example, the American Pie article had a budget listed of $10 million, when Box Office Mojo has $11 million. I've went again and changed that. Thanks for your work. —Mike Allen 01:20, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Jayson Blair (actor)
The article Jayson Blair (actor) has been proposed for deletion because, under Misplaced Pages policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Elizium23 (talk) 00:06, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
Character names
Hello. In plot summaries and the like, after having given the character's full name on the first occurrence they are usually to be referred to by their first name through the rest of the summary. This helps to distinguish characters from real people who, after having their full name mentioned on the first occurrence, are generally referred to only by surname throughout the rest of the article. Obviously there are occasional exceptions to this rule, but generally it is to be followed. I mention this because some of your recent edits to plot summaries of film articles have switched from referring to characters by first name to referring to them by surname, which is incorrect. I cannot at this time recall specifically where this is mentioned in our Manual of Style, but I have asked for help finding the guideline at WT:FILMS#Character names. Please ask there if you would like further clarification. Thank you. --IllaZilla (talk) 01:26, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Glee 3D.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Glee 3D.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Misplaced Pages takes copyright very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Misplaced Pages. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:47, 30 July 2011 (UTC)
Non-free rationale for File:Glee 3D.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Glee 3D.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:48, 30 July 2011 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Glee: The 3D Concert Movie
The article Glee: The 3D Concert Movie has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- no evidence that it meets the notability criteria for movies
While all contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — ] (talk · contribs) 18:31, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
Film article edits
Your edits to Trainspotting (film) have been reverted. Please don't replace the international gross in the infobox with the US gross. Template:Infobox film states that the worldwide gross is preferred. Also, please don't add US release dates to non-US films, unless they premiered in the United States. Release dates are limited to where the film premieres. Betty Logan (talk) 10:44, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Regarding this edit, do not add films to this category unless a reliable source in the article identifies the film as being Surrealist. Your opinion of what is and is not Surrealist does not matter, only what is sourced. ---RepublicanJacobiteTheFortyFive 16:58, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Human Centipede
Hi there. First of all, good job on your edits to The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence)! - it's good to see people are taking ownership of the article and are keeping it at a good standard. Secondly, I thought I'd let you know that there is a small chance that the article on the first film (The Human Centipede (First Sequence)) may be appearing on the main page on Halloween this year! There is currently a discussion going on about this at Misplaced Pages talk:Today's featured article/requests and any thoughts from editors would be very much appreciated. It would be cool to hear your thoughts on the idea. cya! Coolug (talk) 11:36, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
