Scrum half sensation Jonny Arr became the established starting No.9 at Worcester Warriors during the 2010/11 campaign as the home-grown ace shone in the promotion winning season. A former Royal Grammar School student in the city, Arr made his first team full debut in the top-flight in 2008 having initially started his rugby at Worcester in the club’s successful mini/junior set-up. Arr also won international honours and was a part of the England Under-20 team that achieved the Grand Slam in the Six Nations of 2008. Worcester born and bred, the young scrum half signed a new two-year deal in March 2010 to commit his future to Warriors until 2012. Arr was rewarded for his outstanding form in 2009/10 when he picked up the Young Player of the Year and Most Improved Player of the Year awards. Twelve months later he went one better as he was named the Player-of-the-Year at the club’s end of season dinner after his impressive role in winning promotion back to the Aviva Premiership.
