At stumps, Manoj was unbeaten on 136 and giving him company is former India captain Sourav Ganguly who is looking good on 37 after hosts elected to bat.
The foundation of the Bengal innings was the 209-run third wicket partnership between skipper and senior opener Arindam Das (105) who also hit a century.
