Young and his family moved to Australia where he and his brother Malcolm played in some rock bands before they founded AC/DC in 1973.
After wearing costumes on stage, including Superman, Angus followed a suggestion from his sister and began wearing a school outfit on stage which has become one of the trademarks of AC/DC. During live shows, he would clamber on lead singer Bon Scott's shoulders and they would make their way through the audience with a smoke bomb streaming smoke from a satchel on Angus' back while he played an extended solo. Bon Scott passed away in 1980 and was replaced by Geordie lead singer Brian Johnson. Babk in Black was released in 1980 and soon established AC/DC as the worlds premier hard rock band.
