Holy Grail
I suppose that is the reference, though it's vague and a bit of a stretch. I guess the larger question is, given how influential the film has been, how many references can we allow before it gets out of hand? ---RepublicanJacobiteTheFortyFive 18:00, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

Woohoo
Congrats Coach K! The article looks alright still and I hope we don't have to protect it. Drop me or anyone else a line if it changes, or run for admin of course. Happy days, Drmies (talk) 03:02, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
- Well, we'll see. I thought the ESPN interview last night was quite insightful, but someone keeps zapping it. ←Baseball Bugs carrots→ 03:18, 16 November 2011 (UTC)

- He's concerned about the foot-in-the-door for random links. I'm thinking it could be worked into the body of the article where it talks about Knight? ←Baseball Bugs carrots→ 03:37, 16 November 2011 (UTC)

Another interesting effect of that volcanic disruption
Hi Bugs. I noticed your comment about the cooling effect of the Indonesian volcanic eruption (the Mount Tambora#1815 eruption for any talk page watchers that might be interested) on Off2riorob's talk page. The subsequent Year Without a Summer had one impact that I've always found interesting. In May of 1816 a group of "Romantic" writers and artists had gone to Switzerland to enjoy and commune with nature. As one of them wrote "incessant rain often confined us for days to the house". Under the influence of ghost stories that they had read (and perhaps some recreational drugs depending on which accounts you read) they decided to write their own supernatural tales. As you are probably already aware one of these turned out to be Frankenstein or, The Modern Prometheus. I still find it fascinating to contemplate that, without that volcano's eruption, they probably would have spent the summer hiking and swimming and we might not have that wonderfully influential work. As I say I suspect you already knew this but I thought I would share it with you and those that watch your talk page anyway. Have a great Turkey Day next week.
