The word dorood means the place where two rivers meet each other. "Do" means two and "rood" means river. "Dorood" is also a proper way of greeting in Persian.this similiarity is only in their pronounciation."lake GAHAR" is one of the most scare mountain lakes in the world.besides you can visit a lot of falls around the town by foot,by car or by train.
It had an estimated population of 116,663 in 2005.
