Top Girl is an EP by South Korean singer G.NA. It features the title track of the same name, "Top Girl". The EP was released on August 23, 2011.

History

Her title track “Top Girl,“ was produced by hitmakers Kim Do Hoon and Lee Sang Ho, two producers she’s been working with ever since her debut. The song features lyrics by singer Wheesung.

The album also aims to broaden the spectrum of her musical style, as it contains a song she personally helped write called “Banana“. Rapper Swings guest-featured in the song to support her comeback.

Other tracks include an emotional ballad titled “Without You” and an addictive hook song called “ICON“. Both songs are expected to showcase not only her growth, but her ability to pull off different styles.

Release

On August 19, 2011 the teaser for "Banana" was revealed and the music video on August 21, 2011.

After several teasers, G.NA officially revealed her mini-album on August 23, 2011 the same day as the title song "Top Girl"'s MV premiered.

Promotion

G.NA made a comeback through KBS's Music Bank on August 26, 2011 with "Top Girl" follow-up by MBC's Show! Music Core and SBS's Inkigayo.

G.NA was expected to promote the song "Banana" on music shows as a follow-up song after "Top Girl" but was deemed inappropriate after the board had reviewed.
