When the PNCC withdrew from communion with the Union of Utrecht, the Polish Catholic Church remained. Recently, St. John's Cathedral, Toronto, the seat of the PNCC's Canadian diocese, has sought to return to the Union. However, it is not yet reunited with the PCC, being provisionally under the direct administration of the Archbishop of Utrecht.
