Santo Amaro is a borough of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It was formerly a separate municipality until the 30's, when it was incorpored to the municipality of São Paulo. It's placed in the southern area of the city and has a special function for the people living in other boroughs around, due the distance of the main downtown (in ). It borders the borough of Pinheiros in the north limits and shares with it the area known by its own people as the "Brazilian Manhattan", due to the very modern buildings. Many of multinational compaties like Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, SAP, Nestlé, Deloitte, Accenture and Pfizer have their brazilian offices in Santo Amaro.
