Revision as of 20:57, 13 February 2012 by Reenem (talk | contribs)(diff) ← Previous revision | Latest revision (diff) | Newer revision → (diff)The 13 February 2012 attacks on Israeli diplomats involved a bomb explosion on an Israeli diplomatic car in New Delhi, India and a bomb being planted on a similar car in Tbilisi, Georgia. Two people were wounded in the New Delhi attack, while the bomb was safely defused by police in Tbilisi. The attacks are suspected of being the work of either Iranian intelligence services or Hezbollah. The attacks may have been a response to suspected Israeli covert actions against the Iranian nuclear program, but they also came one day after the fourth anniversary of the assassination of Hezbollah commander Imad Mughniyeh. Hezbollah had vowed to avenge the attack by attacking Israelis overseas.
Israel accused Iran of being behind the attacks. Iran rejected the allegation and denied responsibility for the attack. Iran also condemned the attacks, which it called "terrorist".
