Note: My editing time is likely to be sparse until April 28, as I'm going to be at the National Folk Festival, then taking a very rushed trip back home to Victoria, and then frantically trying to finish a bunch of assessment due towards the end of the month. I should still check in every couple of days or so, but if you leave me a message, don't be surprised if you don't get a reply for a few days.

So, my name's Rebecca. Or Beck, if you want. Either is fine. I'm Australian. I like Canadians. Outside this most interesting project, I'm currently a law student at university. While I maintain a strong interest in politics, I am not a member of any political party, and tend to be a swing voter.

I've been a Wikipedian since July 2003, but have only been active since early 2004. I've been a sysop since July 2004, and also served as a member of the arbitration committee from December 2004 to June 2005, when I resigned well short of my term expiry in order to focus on article writing instead. I'm also a sysop at WikiSource, although I don't edit there as much as I do at Misplaced Pages. I'm rarely on Simple, though I have an account there. In total, I've made over 15,000 edits, as of November 2005.

I'm much less active on Misplaced Pages than I used to be these days, as I no longer have the internet at home, which severely limits the time I have to edit. As such, I have rarely have the opportunity to do more than keep up with my watchlist, although I still really enjoy writing new articles when I can do. My main article interests, when I have the time, tend to focus around Australian state politics and netball (a grossly underrepresented topic on Misplaced Pages). If there's anything you'd like some help with, feel free to give me a hoy at my talk page, and I'll see if I can be of assistance.
