Born in New York City, she is the younger sister of filmmaker Jackson Waite of California. Charlotte is the real name of Charlie, charlie started studying at a dance school in New York at the age of three. Charlie's into choreographing too. Charlie knew about the audition for Little Manhattan when her aunt told her mom. Then her mom tried the audition and sent a picture of Charlie. Then luckily, the director and other crews of the movie liked her to be paired with Josh Hutcherson.
