Takamatsu (高松市; -shi) is the capital city of Kagawa prefecture on Shikoku island of Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 334,397 and the density of 1,720.77 persons per km&sup2. The total area is 194.33 km&sup2.

The city was founded on February 15, 1890.
