Help has arrived

You wanted some help, here I am! How can I help you? You can ask your questions right here, and I will respond.--Commander Keane 00:49, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

My question regards the photo I just uploaded. The wiki software is saying there is some sort of problem with it. Can you help me work through this? Here is the link
The information on the image page is just saying that you need to provide a licence. In this case we must assume that the image is copyrighted (since it comes from a commercial website and I couldn't find a licence for the image on that website). So the only way we can use it is if the image is Fair use. I don't think it is fair use, and thus it should get deleted.--Commander Keane 01:03, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Could I request of that site permission to use the image? Would that be acceptable if I secured permission?

If the site allows permission for just Misplaced Pages then that is still not acceptable. We can use the image is they release it under a free licence, like GFDL or public domain (but they may not want to, becasue then it can be sold and they won't get credit). The only other way we could use the image is if you said it was a publicity shot and tagged it with {{Promophoto}}--Commander Keane 01:16, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

I will work on getting that done then. Let's hope they reply. Thanks For Your Help TCPWIKI
