Ricardo “El Finito” Lopez Nava (born July 25, 1967) is a Mexican boxer who defended the WBC Strawweight Championship a record 22 times. He also won the WBA and WBO championship of the same weight class. Lopez also won the IBF Light Flyweight Championship and defended it a few times.
Notable wins include: Hideyuki Ohashi, Saman Sorjaturong, Kyun Yun Li, Kermin Guardia, Andy Tabanas, Ala Villamor, Alex Sanchez, Rosendo Alvarez, Will Grigsby and Manny Melchor.
Ricardo Lopez was the second champion in history to retire undefeated. His incredible record was 50-0-1 37 knock-outs. Lopez is often credited with a KO win over Reymundo Mendoza. This bout, for whatever reason, is not officially recognized and his record was stated as 49-0-1 (36KO's)when he fought his final bout against former champion Zolani Potelo.
