Raúl Alonso Jiménez Rodríguez (born May 5, 1991) is a Mexican footballer who currently plays as a striker for a Club América in the Liga MX.

Club career

América

Jiménez is one of the Club América's most promising young players. He debuted under coach Alfredo Tena during the Apertura 2011 season. He made his senior team debut on October 9, 2011 as a starter in a match against Monarcas Morelia in a 1 - 1 draw at the Estadio Azteca.

He scored his first official goal on October 30, 2011 against Puebla in the 2' minute in a 2-3 loss.

Style of play

He is renowned for his excellent vision, often being compared to Dennis Bergkamp of Arsenal, due to him being able to pick a pass in difficult situations. He is a creator, rather than a finisher - in contrast to Javier Hernandez.
