different language versions of the Sibelius biography

According to Robert Layton, the translator of the English language edition, Tawaststjerna originally wrote the work in Swedish in 3 planned volumes (details here). Publication of the 5 volume Finnish edition went ahead first, overlapping with the first volume of the Swedish edition. I don't right now know how it all ended up...
