This page is for requesting that a page or image be protected or unprotected.

See Misplaced Pages:Protection policy for details on the purpose of protecting pages and the guidelines concerning page protection. If you would like to request a page be protected; please list it (and the date) below, with the reason that it needs protecting.

Please remove pages once they have been protected; or once the requestee no longer wishes for them to have protected status.

This is not the place to discuss or dispute articles. Add new requests at the top.

Current requests

  • Regarding Michael Danby: since AndyL has now protected his friend Adam Carr's version of the page, I think that it would be only fair to replace the NPOV tag that has been there for the past month, seeing as how the article is about Adam Carr's employer. --Weed Harper 06:15, 8 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Silly edit war at John O'Hara; other editor has been referred repeatedly to Talk:Modern Library where he does not engage, instead posting these edit remarks : "I've see the discussion at the Modern Lib. page and I think you're a crank -- please leave this alone, as I will continue to put this reference back in until we get the Sysops to moderate" and "i will keep putting this back in until you give up; what is your obsession with this matter? Is this your life's work, to delete references to Modern Library?)" -- Simonides 18:45, 6 Aug 2004 (UTC)
I only see a couple of reverts by Cantus (who is under indefinite revert parole, by the way), so I don't think protection is necessary right now. —No-One Jones 20:17, 4 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Everytime I revert, he reverts again, so there would be many more reverts if I hadn't stopped. Sky 13:44, 6 Aug 2004 (UTC)
