Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is an Indian television drama that premièred on 12 January 2009 on Star Plus. The show is produced by Rajan Shahi's Director's Kut Productions. Overview

The story tells about two strangers Akshara (Hina Khan) and Naitik (Karan Mehra) who gets married with each other by an arranged marriage after marriage they fall in love after that their life's daily routine is shown and their Problem. But they are happy with each other.

Plot

The story is about with the Female Pratagonist, Akshara a.k.a Hina Khan who is a princess of Maheshwari family. She was brought up in a Mahwari and a mannered, soober and descent family, Maheshwari family. She was the apple of eyes of her parents, Vishambhar and Rajsheri. She was also the princess of her aunt, uncle and the most cutest Daadi. Akshara was a careless girl who not take any thing carefully and Rajsheri always seen to be in tension. Akshara had her childhood friend, Varsha fall in love with Akshara's brother, Shaurya. Nobody supports their love but Akshara made everybody understand and then they wed Shaurya to Varsha. One day, A guy, Rituraj came to meet Akshara. Akshara liked the guy but the relation broke as the Rituraj's family had misunderstanding that Akshara wants to became a singer. Akshara was very hurt. After sometime, Akshara relaxed. After somedays, it was time to celebrate Holy (Hindu Tradition). On holy, Shankri brought a relation of Male Pratagonist, Naitik a.k.a Karan Mehra for Akshara. Singhania family likes Akshara. Naitik wants to spent sometime with Akshara and he do so. Naitik starts to ask questions from Akshara but Akshara didn't answer any single question and Naitik got angry. After of all Naitik agrees to wed Akshara. The guy, Rituraj who rejected Akshara was seen to be the cousin of Naitik and jealouses Naitik. One day, Rituraj lost a match from Naitik and in jealousy he told everything to Naitik which made Naitik angry and a misunderstanding took birth b\w Akshara-Naitik. Naitik not wants to talk Akshara. After of all, Akshara weds Naitik but Naitik was still upset but at the first night Akshara made understand Naitik everything and here their new lives starts. Akshara was succeed to became a perfect Bahu, Patni and Bhabhi. Akshara wants to study forward but Datta Ji didn't allow her. Akshara had many misunderstandings with Naitik after their wedding. One day, Akshara get a knowledge on Nandini that she loves Mohit. She told everybody that Nandini-Mohit are in love but everybody became angry on her and Naitik asked him to leave the Singhania's Mansion and as she do. Here Maheshwari and Singhania family put their GR8! role and they became one to meet Akshara - Naitik and at Holy, they succeed. Akshara went back to Singhania's mansion. Nandini weds Mohit. Naitik appoint a new jewelary deaigner for her business, Sneha. Naitik thought that Akshara is not giving him enough time so he acts to be in love with Sneha so that Akshara will be impressed and gave him much time which became opposite and Sneha also fall in love with Naitik and Akshara once again angry with Naitik. Akshara one day get knowledge that it was a plan. Sneha also came to know truth and her mother also came to know everything. Varsha discovered to be pregnant. Sneha's mother one day came to Singhania's to told everything but Akshara begs her to not open her mouth. Gayatri also got the knowledge. Akshara was very upset with Naitik but on Diwali they solved their problem. One day Naitik thought to practiced Akshara of driving but one day they broke number plate due to which Datta Ji had to faced alot ashamed in front of the city and he separate Akshara -Naitik from the family. Varsha give birth to a bay girl, Ananya. Oe day, Datta Ji had a minner heart attack and their was nobody at home except Akshara and she by drive her own brought Datta Ji to hospital which impress Datta Ji and he once again became joined. Akshara discovers to be pregnant but soon got miscarriage. Rashmi weds to a guy, Nikhil who believes in a modren thinking and hates\dislikes the culture. Akshara once again discovers to be pragnent. In the stage of her pregnancy she started a wrote her feelings of her 9 months of her pregnancy and then showed that to her baby. Singhanias had a lost and they had to left their mansion. First Maheshwaris took them to their home but after some days they left the Maheshwari mansion and shifted to a small home. They faced alot of problems there. After somedays, Sneha gave a contract to Naitik and with the help of the contract they took their mansion back. 9 Months passed and now Akshara was taking her final days of her pregnancy. One day, Naitik had to go to Pune for business tour and as he reached Pune, Akshara started to took pains and as a result, she gave birth to a bay boy, Naksh(also known as Lalla, Chiku, Chhotu and Duggu). Akshara took the book with her self to the hospital which was left in hospital and an assistant of a writer took that and hand over to the writer. The writer requested Akshara to allow him to publish the book but Datta Ji didn't agrees. After sometimes, Datta Ji agrees to publish the book and as a result Akshara became a popular writer. Naitik - Shaurya started business together.

First Leap of 3 months

Naksh was now 9 months old. After sometime, it was shown that Shaurya and Naitik are facing alot of misunderstandings in their work b\w they both and now they didn't like to talk each other. After a GR8! struggle of Akshara-Varsha, Naitik-Shaurya solved their problem. After some days, Akshara found a girl in a park, Chikki. She brought her to the home. She was an orphan girl who is living with her evils uncle and aunt. Akshara decided to adopt her and with the permission of Datta Ji, she adopts. (to know the more story watch Yrkkh Mon-Fri 9.30p.m)

The show is one of the most award gainer show. Its got many popular awards. The show won 79 awards and is currently winning. The show make a range in winning the catagories like SPL Mention, Favourite Bhabhi, Best Drama Series, Best Actress, Favourite Jethani, Favourite Sasur, Gr8! Face-Female, Favourite Sasur, Favourite Serial, Boroplus Fresh and Healthy Skin-Female. It was the Director Kut's Productions only show winning most awards. The show brought a great success for its channel, Star Plus too. The show is rank at no. 3 winning most Star Parivaar Awards after Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The show also won an IMA Award for Best Title Song of TV series in a tie with Tere Liye. The show also won BIG Star Entertainment Award for BIG Entertaining show in 2010 and also Seoul and Xplore International awards for best series.
