Skyfall poster

Ditto: don't change the current version if it is correct. The version I have put up there is consistent with the majority of other Bond films and does not need changing. - SchroCat (^@) 10:07, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

I changed it from "teaser poster". I am going to change the other bond pages to bring them in line with the Wiki guidelines. Film Fan (talk) 10:08, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
Don't change the other pages: it smacks of WP:POINT and it does not need to happen. I will revert your edits if you go down that route. - SchroCat (^@) 10:10, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
I think consistency is important. Why on earth would you revert? Film Fan (talk) 10:11, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
Because the articles are consistent. There is no need to change them. - SchroCat (^@) 10:12, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
They are absolutely not. The vast majority of theatrical release posters use that caption, and ones that don't should be brought in line for consistency. Film Fan (talk) 10:13, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
There is absolutely no need for every single film article on Wiki to slavishly have exactly the same words as the image title, so no: they do not need to be "brought in line". Wiki is flexible enough to accomodate different titles and styles on a number of fronts. - SchroCat (^@) 10:17, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
So the Bond films should all have the same captions, but it doesn't matter if that's different from the vast majority of other Misplaced Pages articles. How did you come to that conclusion? Film Fan (talk) 10:21, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
The Bond articles broadly have two formats: "Film poster" or "Cinema release poster". There is consistency and flexibility there. Other articles—and other films series articles—have different approaches and styles. It's a question of not mindlessly following one possible suggestion. - SchroCat (^@) 10:23, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but your logic is inconsistent.Film Fan (talk) 10:29, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

It's not inconsistent, it's just that you haven't followed it. Suffice to say that the Skyfall article can follow the format on the other Bond articles, viz: "Film poster" or "Cinema release poster" and can thereby retain the consistency with the other Bond articles. - SchroCat (^@) 10:31, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

Then by that same logic, I should be free to bring the Bond articles in line with other Misplaced Pages articles, seeing as there is no need for the different wording, especially when the wording I use is as in the guidelines. Film Fan (talk) 10:33, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
Well done on being a grown up and trying to start an edit war while we are in the mmiddle of discussing the issue. That sort of approach really does make for unhappy editing all round and leads to nothing but grief for all editors. If you start changing all the other Bond articles I'll revert them all. - SchroCat (^@) 10:35, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
That could hardly be more hypocritical. Film Fan (talk) 10:37, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
Not really: I haven't edited it since we started the discussion. You have. How is that hypocritical? - SchroCat (^@) 10:38, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
