- All information should be specifically sourced. This especially goes for criticism or derogatory content in articles. It is not enough to put a list of references at the bottom of an article. Often that is an excuse to put anything at all in the article, and justify it on the grounds that "references" are cited.
- Ideally, criticism should cite the specific person making the criticism, and the specific relevant quote. It is not enough to say "critics say that..." or "many people disagree with...". Avoid weasel words, sweeping generalizations, and categorization using defamatory words.
- Avoid the use of neologisms and disputed concepts in articles which are not specifically about those neologisms and concepts.
- Misplaced Pages is cluttered up with articles on marginally notable and non-notable people, fancruft, subculture-cruft, and opinion-pushing POV forks. These articles all need to be deleted or merged as appropriate.
