"In remembering Franamax, I smile. He will be missed." Jimbo Wales

In mourning his death we remember his life, celebrating his legacy and our good fortune to have shared the honour of his association. RIP (condolences)

I made this for anybody, modified by my76strat, who wishes to honor Franamax and their passing, to put in their userspace.—cyberpower Offline 05:39, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

Irish wake

An Irish wake.
Let's give a thought or two to the passing of a fellow contributor, and for those so inclined, let's raise a glass to their memory : ) - jc37 01:32, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
Found this: Misplaced Pages:Personal user awards/Cheers. Choose your preference. (And please, if your personal imbibing preference isn't currently there, please add for others to share : ) - jc37 02:54, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
  • Having one in his memory. In my brief experience with him, F was not the type to turn down a brew and a good conversation. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam. The Interior (Talk) 02:13, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
  • Having a Scotch in his honor. I agree Jc37, while we mourn with his family, we should celebrate his many accomplishments as well. Dennis Brown - © Join WER 02:32, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
  • Scotch here as well. My condolences to the family, and enormous lasting respect for his contributions, Misplaced Pages is better for them. --j⚛e decker 06:54, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
  • I did add a cup of coffee, or tea, to the list, and I am raising my cup of coffee right now, being certain that I will again; as many times as my days will allow. My76Strat (talk) 04:18, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
  • Having a beer, raising a glass to Fran. My best to his family and friends and to those Wikipedians who knew him. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:30, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
  • Just raised my last little bit of Yamazaki; I came along a couple years after he started, and we inhabited different parts of Misplaced Pages, but I noticed his technical work from afar and genuinely appreciate all the time and effort he put in. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 00:21, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
  • I'll raise my herbal tea to him ("Bengal Spice tea"). StuRat (talk) 06:31, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
  • I shall break open a Guiness and think of him. Terribly, terribly sad news. My love and sympathy to all the family and friends. Pesky (talk) 10:32, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
  • Today was a solemn reminder of the relationships and friends one makes online and through cyberspace. Often a world hide away from those in the outside world, it never ceases to amaze me of the meaningful contributions and bonds of community working over a project can create. These alternate lives online we lead form some of the strongest friendships we count amongst our very closest. While not aways aware of the impact our loved ones had on the lives of others in distant countries, I hope Fran's family read this and know he was truly missed all around the world. I have also added a link on the WP:Vancouver talk, whom Fran was a regular contributor. Mkdw 22:11, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
