A Gnome Explains
It's a silly WikiGnome story:-
I found that I had misspelt retrieved, as retreived (ei), three times in one article (one mistake, copied & pasted).
I set myself a "penance" (nothing like a bit of masochism) of correcting the "ei" versions in Misplaced Pages articles.
I only intended to do the 100 or so misspellings there were at the time, but I then adopted "retrieved" (retreived, retrived, retreved)
I then added "rhythm” (rhythem, rhythim, rhythym, rhytm, rythem, rythim, rythm & rythym)
I have since got carried away, and adopted the Misplaced Pages:Lists of common misspellings/R - all of it.
Don’t do it, it's bad for your health
Thanks
|Thanks for going way above and beyond your normal contributions in your reviewing and monitoring of a rather long and active article. Your participation (both past and future) is very much appreciated by myself and the encyclopedia. Cheers!!-- — Keithbob • Talk • 18:30, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
