Klaas Jan Huntelaar

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (born August 12, 1983 in Drempt, Netherlands) is a Dutch footballer who plays as a striker for Ajax Amsterdam. He is seen as a rising star in Dutch football, having scored over 30 goals in his first full season in the Eredivisie.

Ajax paid 9 million for the striker, which some see as too much for a player so young. Having scored 40 goals in total in the 2005-06 season, he is expected to finish in fourth place in the European Golden Boot but has been overlooked for Marco Van Basten's 2006 FIFA World Cup squad, instead (probably) being selected for the EK U-19 in Portugal.
