A fearsome beast from the Dungeons and Dragons Monster Manual. Its features are somewhat catlike but include various un-feline features such as waving tentacle-like protusions coming out of its back. It hunts humans and other races for sport, making it more of a hunter than predator to civilized races. Through an extraordinary ability called Displacement, this beast is actually a few feet away from where an individual thinks it to be. There is usually a 50% chance that an attacker will miss a Displacer Beast from this illusion.
