Heleen Mees (1968) is Adjunct Associate Professor at NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Mees is the author of three books; her latest Between Greed and Desire – The World between Wall Street and Main Street was published in the Netherlands in 2009. She has a weekly column in the Financieele Daglad. From 2006 - 2010 she had a column in NRC Handelsblad. She also is a contributing editor to the "Financial Times" Economists' Forum, Foreign Policy and Project Syndicate. Her work has been published in international newspapers and magazines such as The Financial Times, The New York Times, and Le Monde. In 2009 she was a TV host for Dutch Television (VARA). She lives and works in New York City.
