The following is a list of video editing software.

Two breeds of video editing software are listed here: Non-linear editing software are those that allow trimming or modifying video clips, appending or combining multiple video clips and rendering the final product into a video file. Transcoding software, on the other hand, enable the user to change the video format, audio format or container format of a piece of digital video.
