The Minister for the Marine, or, more officially, the Minister of State with special responsibility for the Marine, is a junior ministerial post in the Irish Health & Children, Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources. The Minister works together with the senior Minister at this department and has special responsibilty for public safety and environmental protection with regard to Marine affairs. The Minister of State does not hold cabinet rank. The curent position should not be confused with the previous post of Minister for the Marine, which existed between 1987 and 1997 and held cabinet rank.

The current incumbent is John Browne, TD, who took up the post in 2006.
