YG Family is an entertainment company from Korea. YG stands for Yang Gun and are also the initials of the CEO, Yang Hyun Seok. On April 19th 2006, YG annouced its plan to introduce Kpop singers such as Se7en and Wheesung* to America. YG also unveiled its plan to create YG America and YG Japan.

  • "Wheesung has now left YG/M-Boat Entertainment. The contract he now has with another label is worth 1,500,000 won. Wheesung's contract with YG/M-Boat Entertainment ended March this year. Wheesung has discussed this issue with his previous management and has decided to transfer to another agency."

M Boat is the sister company to YG FAMILY, it consists of Wanted, Viva soul, Gummy (AKA Spyder), and Big Mama. They also have a few more artists that are signing to this company but have not yet come out with an album.
