A bit of advice to you

Hello and welcome to Misplaced Pages. I understand your concerns regarding the ACHA article and your ongoing dispute with the user BHockey. But may I please request you to be Civil in your dealing on Misplaced Pages. Not that you are not, but its always better if you can convey everything constructively. BHockey is a mature member of the Wikicommunity and has been making some good articles, especially on hockey. So can I please ask you to present your arguments and prefer not to say anything about the user? That way, things remain civil; and we can all productively find a mutual co-operative solution.

I hope you shall take my friendly advice carefully, and make a contructive stay here in Misplaced Pages (which I am sure you shall do.)

P.S. - Please do not quote wikipedia policies unless you are sure you know what they mean. If incorrectly stated, they undermine your own arguments. P.S. 2 - It would be easier to work along you if you could just create an account. You dont have to, but its preferred as it makes it easier for everyone to contact you P.S. 3 - If you need any further advice/help, including on whether your additions were correct or not, feel free to ask me. All of this trouble because of your incorrect use of a tool. This is what happends when users are given tools that they should not have. This policy is clear, maybe you should get a master degree in policy and we can discuss.

No. My use of STiki did not cause any trouble. What did was the way you went about interpreting policy by your own standards to try (unsuccessfully) to get your own way here. You do not know Misplaced Pages policies well, and its better you check up on them before quoting them and/or accusing others of knowing them. Where do you think you have learnt the WP policies from? When I quoted the "FIRST LINE" of a policy, you claimed I was cherrypicking and accused me of being COI. Your editing behavior on the ACHA article falls into the category of disruptive editing in that they...
1) are (continues editing an article or group of articles in pursuit of a certain point for an extended time despite opposition from other editors),
2) are not consensus-building (repeatedly disregards other editors' objections to edits and repeatedly disregards other editors' explanations for their edits),
3) and have been in rejection or ignorance of community input (continuing to edit in pursuit of a certain point despite an opposing consensus from impartial editors)
Rather than continue with this disruptive editing, please participate civilly and in good-faith in the discussion on the article Talk page. Dropping token dismissive comments in the Talk page alongside further disruptive edits is not participating civilly and in good-faith in the discussion.Fishbert (talk) 21:22, 6 April 2013 (UTC)

I'm interested to know your opinion on why adding relevant, sourced material is violating the standards on living persons, seeing how everything there is properly sourced. Secondly, there is wide precident on having players projected to go first overall in the NHL draft have an article created early. See Nail Yakupov (created in 2011, drafted in 2012); Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (created in 2010, drafted in 2011); Taylor Hall (created in 2008, drafted in 2010); John Tavares (created in 2006, drafted in 2009); or even the top choices for 2013: Nathan McKinnon (created in 2011); Seth Jones (created in 2011); or the top prospect for 2014: Aaron Ekblad (created in 2011). The fact is McDavid is a notable player as it stands, as only three players in the past 8 years; one went first overall in the NHL draft, the other two are currently ranked top of their class. That to me seems notable, even outside of the boundaries of what is written. And removing sourced material to help that case does not help anyone. Thanks. If you do not feel that an article meets notability guidelines, the proper course of action is articles for deletion to let consensus decide. That being said, I might point you to the general notability guideline and suggest that you will find it very difficult to show a person who has received significant, non-trivial coverage in major national media in both Canada and the United States is anything but a clear and obvious pass. That is not to say that you should not take the article to AFD if you truly believe the article does not meet policy, only that I do not think you will get the result you want.
